About the Foundation
The Culture Impact Foundation Africa is a pioneering initiative aimed at fostering social economic development through targeted impact investments and grants in the culture and creative industries in East Africa. The foundation recognizes that direct investment in research, cultural policy alternatives, and culture diplomacy will be instrumental in advancing the region’s socioeconomic potential.
About the Fund
Through its comprehensive approach, the foundation will run a fund called The Culture Impact Fund that provides flexible grants, capacity building, networking, and investments to non-profits and mission-driven creative businesses.
The fund will be augmented with resources from the investment portfolios of the foundation and will collaborate with key international and local agencies to access funds inform of grants, private donations, fundraising initiatives, government grants and endowment + trusts.

Our Objectives
Foster Socioeconomic development
The fund aims to support initiatives that contribute to the socioeconomic development of East Africa by providing financial and non-financial resources to cultural and creative projects.
Drive Innovation and Collaboration
By investing in research, cultural policy alternatives, and fostering culture diplomacy, the fund seeks to drive innovation and collaboration within the region’s culture and creative sectors.
Digital Transformation
Acknowledging the transformative power of digital technology, the fund will actively support and promote digital transformation within the culture and creative industries. It will help creative professionals and organizations adapt to the digital age, encouraging innovation, accessibility, and global reach.
Research and grassroots Cultural Policy formulation and Implementation
Recognizing the importance of research and cultural policy in driving change, the fund will invest in research initiatives and the development of alternative cultural policies. By doing so, it aims to create a conducive environment for the growth of the culture and creative sectors in East Africa.
Culture Diplomacy
The fund will play a pivotal role in promoting East African culture and artistic expression on the global stage. It will employ culture diplomacy to enhance the region’s international image and facilitate cross-cultural understanding.
Support Mission-driven Organizations:
The foundation is dedicated to offering financial assistance, capacity building, networking opportunities, and investments to non-profit organizations and creative businesses that have a clear social mission and drive positive change.
